PSA: A Few Changes With the Walflower

Don't worry, guys, it's not anything bad; promise!

I've been thinking a lot the past few days about the blog, namely the fact that I don't particularly have the time or the mind power to get out five posts a week as I've been doing. I'm particularly thinking about what happens when my Fall semester at school starts next month: if I'm not getting five posts out, now, then the odds of me keeping up while I have five (possibly six) classes happening are extremely slim.

Ultimately, that's not fair to you. I have a schedule on the side of the blog, right now, and as long as ya'll are expecting five posts a week and only getting three, I feel like I'm cheating you.

So I'll be enacting a new schedule, starting next week(ish). There will be three posts a week, as follows:

Monday: Characters and Creations
As usual, I'll post tips on writing, including my own writing and editing processes.

Tuesday: Tea Time
Book Reviews

Thursday: Thoughts & Things
Random thoughts and questions I've encountered throughout my week

There you have it: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. My Saturday review days are also going to disappear, so reviews will be once a week again.

I feel like it's much more comprehensive, essentially combining a few days from the current schedule. Of course, there could be surprise postings on the other days that are getting kicked out: interviews, cover reveals, blog tours, or if something really exciting happens that I just have to tell you about.

Above all, I want this to be a place where you, my lovely reader, enjoy coming and reading whatever words are floating around in my head. Condensing the schedule is my way of making sure that I give ya'll quality posts, instead of word vomit at the last minute. If you have any comments, questions, concerns, tips, advice, recommendations, requests, complaints, etc, please don't hesitate to let me know. There's email, the Twitter-sphere, Facebook, and (of course) comments right here on the blog. I want to hear your thoughts!

I'm also going to be cleaning up a bit: namely organizing the labels on all of my old blog posts. Nothing major; promise!

Happy Wednesday!

Rae

    1. Aw, thank you so much, Kate! I have to admit: sometimes it's hard figuring out content, or even remembering. It's a challenge that I look forward to, though!
